AGREEMENT

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER?

Being an active member of Belisimoda Academy Inc. is not a title it is a decision. It means choosing to be a visible part of an organization that is transforming the Hispanic beauty industry in Indiana. Every active member represents the organization in the spaces they occupy, contributes from their skills, and commits to sustaining the mission through presence and action.

 

Active membership does not require prior experience in cosmetology or nonprofits. It requires willingness, consistency, and respect for the community we serve.

WHAT ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP INVOLVES

Presence and participation:

•  Attend a minimum of two (2) organizational activities per month these may include Solidarity Haircuts sessions, community workshops, institutional events, or member meetings

•  Notify in advance when unable to attend a scheduled activity

•  Participate in the quarterly member meeting

 

Institutional representation:

•  Represent Belisimoda Academy Inc. with professional conduct in all public spaces in person and online

•  Maintain consistency between the organization's values and personal conduct on social media

•  Not make public statements on behalf of the organization without prior authorization from the Executive Director

 

Contributing your skills:

•  Contribute from the area of expertise declared in the registration form (cosmetology, mentorship, marketing, social media, administration, or other)

•  Identify and refer to the Executive Director partnership opportunities, sponsors, donors, or community spaces that may benefit the organization

 

Communication and transparency:

•  Immediately communicate to the Executive Director any situation that may represent a conflict of interest

•  Maintain confidentiality regarding internal organizational information apprentice data, financial information, institutional strategies

WHAT BELISIMODA ACADEMY COMMITS TO YOU

  • •  Formally recognize your participation with a monthly volunteer hours letter when applicable

  • •  Include you in the institutional network of allies, events, and opportunities of the organization

  • •  Free access to all workshops and training programs of Belisimoda Academy during your membership

  • •  Institutional letter of recommendation at the end of the membership year, if actively fulfilled

  • •  Recognition in the organization's communication channels

DURATION AND RENEWAL

Active membership has a duration of one (1) year, renewable. Renewal is confirmed with the signing of a new agreement on the anniversary date. The organization reserves the right not to renew a membership when commitments have not been consistently fulfilled during the year.

GROUNDS FOR MEMBERSHIP TERMINATION

Membership may be terminated for any of the following reasons:

(1) Public conduct that damages the reputation of Belisimoda Academy Inc.;

(2) Violation of organizational confidentiality;

(3) Repeated failure to fulfill participation commitments;

(4) Dishonest or fraudulent acts in relation to the organization;

(5) Voluntary resignation by the member. In all cases, the decision is made by the Executive Director and communicated in writing.
